GlobalSign Launches Ajax Simple API for SSL Partners

Ajax API allows rapid, effortless integration of SSL Certificate request process
directly into partner websites

Portsmouth, NH – 30 March, 2009 – GlobalSign Inc, one of the longest established Certification Authorities (CA) and specialists in SSL Certificate security, today announced the launch of its Simple API (SAPI) integration tool for SSL Partners & resellers.  This new offering allows partners to embed the full SSL Certificate request process directly into their own web pages with minimal effort required, allowing SSL reselling to be faster and easier than ever before.

The launch of SAPI is especially beneficial for partners who do not have the programming knowledge or expertize to implement more complex APIs, but who wish to benefit from the automation that using an API has to offer.  By simply adding one line of code to their web pages the SAPI creates the necessary forms to collect the applicant’s information and submits the application data directly to GlobalSign. The SAPI also conducts on the fly error checking with results fed directly back to the end customer during the Certificate request process.   As an Ajax based application the request “box” also allows style and colours to be customized to enable partners to integrate this feature rich application without it interfering with the display and behaviour of their existing web pages, retaining their branding and corporate look and feel.

“The development of SAPI opens up the reselling channel for all types of organizations, especially smaller to medium sized enterprises wishing to integrate GlobalSign’s feature rich SSL Certificates into their product range for the first time”, said Steve Waite, Marketing Director, GlobalSign.  “With minimal coding knowledge required, the SAPI can easily be implemented by all type of partners, opening up new revenue streams and significantly reducing the time to market.”

Launched back in 2007, GlobalSign’s Partner Program aimed at companies such as Web Hosts, ISPs, Domain Registrars and VARSs, was designed to make SSL reselling scalable, simple and financially beneficial from the outset.  With GlobalSign’s rapid integration tool, the time to market for resellers is greatly reduced, and deployment of SSL Certificates from the Partner’s websites is  quick, easy and cost effective.  The SSL Partner Program and its SAPI provide an automated reselling channel to the masses - enabling resellers to take full advantage of the SSL reselling opportunity.

Other key features of the GlobalSign’s Partner Program include the ability to conveniently purchase SSL Certificates on a pay as you go basis or in bulk through a deposit function, creating further pricing discounts, whilst also having the ability to manage an unlimited number of sub-resellers.  Assigned with a dedicated account manager, with sales, marketing and technical resources readily available to help maximize their reselling opportunity, partners receive a free SSL Certificate for their own web site as well as an ‘Approved Partner’ site seal.
