Enterprise PKI for Microsoft Office Document Signing
Protect electronic documents from unauthorised changes, prove authorship and enable more secure, reliable Microsoft Document exchange.
Digital IDs issued through Enterprise PKI allow authors to create Microsoft Office files that can attest to the recipient that the author's identity has been verified by a trusted organisation. Authors of documents add digital signatures to documents they distribute over the Internet. The process is the virtual equivalent to sealing a document and adding wet-ink signatures and assuring the recipient that the document is authentic, comes from a verified source and the contents have not been tampered with since being published.

Secure Electronic Document Delivery to meet security and regulatory compliance
The identity of Microsoft Office document authors are cryptographically encapsulated in a Digital ID. The Digital ID is unique and contains the name and location of the Digital ID holder. Authors can then use the "Add Digital Signature" function available in all Office applications to add the Digital Signature.
Digitally signed documents help to establish the following assurances:
Authenticity - the digital signature helps to assure that the signer (author) is who he or she claims to be. Integrity - the digital signature helps to assure that the content of the document or email has not been changed or tampered with since it was digitally signed.
Non-repudiation - the digital signature helps to prove to all parties the origin of the signed content. "Repudiation" refers to the act of a signer's denying any association with the signed content. .
